Rules of Engagement

Guest blog post by:

Some how, some way, the war in Afghanistan has transformed to a UN agenda police action. Don't believe it?? Then how in the world does "rules of engagement" protect our nation's troops in a battle zone...especially when the USA was attached by "them"? This is asinine! What this clearly means is: American military members can only engage in combat when fired upon - to "defend" themselves. This gives the enemy comfort knowing there will be no element of surprised against them. BRING OUR TROOPS HOME NOW!

A post dated August, 24, 2011 - Andrew G. Bostom posts on the votes for and against Rules of Engagement That Protect Our Troops in The American Thinker:

The way this is worded is very crafty. American soldiers are being asked to fight with one hand tied behind their back...by a congress that is NOT part of the chain-of-command! Maybe Rep. Ron Paul clearly understands this and the establishment politicians do not. I would vote AGAINST it too!
